Bio-Security (Farm Service Provider)
Bio-Security, A Growing Forward Initiative to facilitate effective risk management.
Program Description
The Bio-Security (Farm Service Provider) program is designed to assist farm service providers with promotion and adoption of good bio-security practices within their sector and assist industry clients with development and implementation of commodity specific national bio-security standards.
Program Eligibility
The Bio-Security program may include, but is not limited to:
- Trucking/transport industry associations.
- Veterinary associations and practitioners they represent.
- Feed industry associations.
- Trade associations e.g. construction, electrical, heating/ventilation, etc.
- Equipment and farm supply associations.
- Other service provider’s e.g. dead stock removal, manure management, pest control.
- Producers involved in primary agriculture and food production.
Note: Presently only the poultry and mink industries have National above.
- Animal health professionals and consultants assisting the farm service sector.
Available Funding
Assistance will be on a 50/50 cost shared basis with the applicant to a maximum of $50,000 for capital items or $25,000 for non-capital items.
