Bio-Security, a Growing Forward initiative to facilitate effective risk management.
The Bio-Security program is designed to enhance the awareness and adoption of enhanced biosecurity practices by Alberta producers in line with today's industry standards and development of commodity specific national biosecurity standards for the future.
The Bio-Security program is targeted at not-for-profit commodity organizations representing primary agriculture and food production. The applicant must be recognized / authorized by a national commodity organization involved in development of commodity specific biosecurity standards.
Payment to applicant will be up to a maximum of $80,000 annually for up to four years on a funding basis of 50/50 government and applicant with a maximum of $3,000 for capital items.
